A New Chapter: Helping people move from insight to embodied living.

Insight alone rarely changes a life.

For more than three decades, I have been exploring a question that continues to shape both my life and my work:

What helps people move from insight to embodied living?

I have studied contemplative psychology, consciousness studies, yoga, Ayurveda, mystical traditions, shamanic practice, and the relationship between body, mind, and awareness. My work has provided me the privilege of accompanying individuals through seasons of transition, illness, grief, spiritual questioning, personal growth, and renewed purpose.

One observation has remained remarkably consistent: Insight alone rarely changes a life.

Whether insight arises through conversation, meditation, connection with nature, a profound life event, or a carefully prepared psychedelic experience, transformation depends on what follows. It depends on our willingness to integrate what we've discovered into the ordinary rhythms of daily living.

From this philosophical ground, I am pleased to announce the opening of Dan Marko Contemplative Counseling, online and in person at my office in Great Barrington, MA.

Rather than offering advice or predetermined answers, my practice is grounded in a non-directive contemplative approach that supports individuals in cultivating deeper awareness, discernment, and embodied integration. I believe each person possesses an innate creative and healing wisdom. My role is to create a reflective space where that wisdom can emerge through thoughtful dialogue, somatic awareness, contemplative practice, and compassionate inquiry.

An Invitation

Whether you're navigating a life transition, exploring questions of meaning, preparing for a psychedelic experience, integrating a profound insight, or simply longing to cultivate a more authentic and wholehearted way of living, I welcome the opportunity to accompany you. Transformation is rarely the result of a single moment.

More often, it unfolds through attention, relationship, and the quiet practice of becoming more fully ourselves. If this approach resonates with you, I would be honored to begin the conversation. invite you to learn more about my work.
